 Kulinarischer ist wohl noch kaum ein Buch dahergekommen. Ein Fest für die Sinne bietet das literarische Kunst-Kochbuch der Buchdruckkünstler Reinhard Scheuble und Roland Meuter. Herausgeber Dirk Kruse konnte 22 namhafte Autorinnen und Autoren aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz davon überzeugen, 22 deliziöse Geschichten zu schaffen, bei denen sich alles ums Kochen oder Essen dreht. 22 ebenso anerkannte Künstler haben zu diesen Erstveröffentlichungen 22 geschmackvolle doppelseitige Originalgraphiken (Radierung, Holzschnitt, Lithografie oder Siebdruck) geschaffen. Fast immer kommen noch köstliche Zeichnungen hinzu, die den Text appetitlich bebildern. Und am Ende jeder Erzählung ist ein dazu passendes schmackhaftes Menu abgedruckt, das die Gastrokritikerin Susanne Wilkat kreiert und zusammengestellt hat. Eine Erzählung von Christa Wolf als Prolog und ein Gedicht von Günter Grass als Epilog fassen das von Matthias Gubig gestaltete Kunst-Kochbuch genießerisch ein. Die Auflage dieses handgebundenen, vielfach signierten, lukullischen Großods wird 70 Exemplare betragen, davon 22 Exemplare als Luxusausgabe.  A more culinary book has yet to come along. Book print artists Reinhard Scheuble and the bookbinder Roland Meuter have created a literary art-cookbook that is a feast for the senses. The publisher Dirk Kruse was able to persuade 22 notable authors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, to create 22 delicious stories, in which everything revolves around cooking or food. For this first publication, 22 equally recognized artists have created 22 tasteful double-sided original graphics (etchings, woodcuts, lithographs or screen prints). Almost always exquisite drawings appetizingly illustrate the texts. And printed at the end of each narrative one finds a flavorful menu fitting to the story, all of which have been created and put together by the food critic Susanne Wilkat. A piece by Christa Wolf as Prologue and a poem by Günter Grass as Epilogue luxuriously frame this art-cookbook designed by Matthias Gubig. The number of copies of this hand bound, multiply signed, sumptuous jewel is limited to 70 exemplar, of which 22 copies are to be luxury editions. A real feast for the eyes – a book for epicures of written, pictorial, culinary and printer’s art. |
